Office of the Mayor
The Office of the Mayor is the executive branch of the City of Westland's government. Led by Mayor Michael P. Londeau, the city administration has earned a reputation for effective, responsive, and visionary stewardship of the City.
Parks and Recreation
In Westland, there is a wide spectrum of parks and open space from mini-parks to neighborhood parks and community parks.
The Personnel Department assists the Westland Civil Service Commission in testing individuals as well as preparing and certifying lists of applicants who are eligible for positions in each of the City departments, with the exception of the police officers and firefighters of the Police and Fire Departments.
The primary responsibility of the Department is to provide great customer service while applying standards of the Zoning Ordinance; Master Plan; and local, county, and state regulations to any proposal to assure the best development for the community.

The Public Service Department is composed of several divisions that oversee the maintenance of city infrastructure.
The City Controller accounts for all payments to vendors, coordinates all City bidding procedures, and makes sure all City Insurance and Risk Management procedures are followed.
The City of Westland's Senior Resources Department develops and implements a comprehensive program designed to address the changing needs of older adults in the community.
