5. This form is to make a request for the City Mayor to officiate a wedding. The civil ceremony is normally held in the City Hall Council Chambers. If a Ballroom or Community Room is rented for the occasion, the ceremony will be held there if desired.

   For the Mayor to officiate there are some requirements:

   • The persons being wed need to be Westland residents.
   • The Mayor's Office requires at least 2 weeks notice of the request.
   • Weddings are held Tuesday through Thursday; 11:00am to 3:30pm, pending Mayor's availability.
