The Westland Recycle Center provides a one stop option for residents to come and drop off items that cannot be recycled through the curbside program or cannot wait for the next curbside pickup day. In our efforts to be green, the Westland Recycle Center features a solar powered compactor for single stream recycling.

All types of scrap metal (iron, steel, aluminum, etc.)
All types of batteries (household, car, marine, etc.)
Christmas trees (SEASONALLY and only completely undecorated)
Electrical cords
Gas grills (no tanks)
Charcoal grills (no ash or coal inside)
Kitchen cookware (pots, pans, etc.)
Clothing or shoes
Plastic jugs and bottles (#1, #2, #4, #5, #7)
Household appliances (refrigerators - doors and Freon removed, stoves, air conditioners, washers, dryers, etc.)
Metal or plastic clothing hangers
