The Westland Police Department believes that keeping citizens informed as to what is going on in their city and neighborhood is important. The Westland Police Department is therefore happy to be able to provide the interactive crime mapping tool from the Omega Group and "crime mapping".
Database
Westland residents will now be able to search the same databases used by the Westland Police Department to learn what is going on in their neighborhood. Users of the site will be able to search by crime types, date ranges, and create custom geographic borders for their queries. Residents will also be able to receive trend reports regarding criminal activity. In addition to the research tools offered by the site, residents will be able to receive email "crime alerts" based on the location and types of crimes they specify.
