Dear Westland Business Partner,

Thank you for your important contribution to Westland's thriving business community . Successful businesses like yours are the driving force in the success of our community and we are looking for business partners to join in an exciting endeavor. I am pleased to announce my 8th Annual Wild About Youth WORKS! Summer Employment Program. This program is designed to help Westland's young adults learn the virtue of a strong work ethic, the importance of customer service, and perhaps help our business community hire and train tomorrow's workforce.

This partnership with you, the Wayne-Westland Community School District, Westland Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Westland provides our local young adults the chance to enter and gain experience in the workforce. We respectfully request that our business partners interview and hire student(s) of their choosing and commit to providing 16 hours of work per week for six or more weeks at the minimum pay rate or higher. To kick start this year's program, the City of Westland will be hosting a Job Fair on Monday, May 14th from 5:30 - 7:00pm. The Job Fair will be held at the Westland City Hall building, located at 36300 Warren Rd. Westland, Ml 48185. Your business would be able to promote what it is looking for, interview, and possibly hire eligible youth on the spot.

To participate in the Wild About Youth WORKS! Summer Employment Program and Job Fair, please visit our online form to complete a simple registration process by May 10, 2018. If you would like further information, please contact Charles House, Economic Development Director, at 734-467-3264 . Businesses that are not able to attend the Job Fair are still eligible to participate in the Wild About Youth WORKS! Summer Employment Program.

We appreciate you taking the time to get involved with this important effort to help youth in our community succeed.

Sincerely,

Mayor

William R. Wild, Mayor
