As Michigan’s tenth largest city, the year ahead looks to be filled with promise as we continue to build on the success of 2015.  At the State of the City address, I will share with you the continued private sector investment being made in our All American City and how the City’s finances continue to improve.  As we celebrate the city's 50th birthday, I'd like to share how renovations to the Westland Police Department prepare it for the future, and exciting transformations coming to Ford Road and the site of the old City Hall and Bailey Center will give the City a fresh face for the next 50 years. There is no better way to commemorate turning 50 than with a slate of fun and exciting summer events like the City's birthday, a summer screening of Star Wars, and the biggest Blues Brews and BBQ event yet! I'm also excited to announce our boldest, and most exciting campaign yet, where we look to invest in ourselves, going neighborhood by neighborhood to clean, repair, and energize our city.
